The Amateur Radio Group at RWTH Aachen University
Welcome! We are the Amateur Radio Group at the RWTH Aachen University.
On this website we document our activities and projects. We provide services for amateur radio enthusiasts across the country and try to push forward what doing amateur radio means.
Our club is made up of students who have a knack for tech and a huge interest in and understanding of radio operations. We are always looking for interested individuals who share our passion and want to work on fun projects alongside us.
All our members are required to be licensed amateur radio operators, to be able to handle these restricted technologies on their own without the requirement of supervision. If that sounds like you, feel free to reach out!
Of course, coming without a license is also fine! Just give us a heads-up beforehand so we can welcome you properly!

Meetups
We usually meet every Thursday* at 6pm at the Institute of High Frequency Technology. Just come by the main entrance before the meetup begins, and we’ll pick you up.
*except when we don’t. It’s probably best to mail us beforehand.
Our Website
As you probably noticed, most of our website is written in German. This is a legacy issue. We simply do not have the manpower to translate the entirety of our website in a reasonable amount of time. This is a hobby for us after all ;)
If you want to read up further on us, using page translators works very well on our website! Just use the one you prefer most (such as Firefox Translate or Google Translate) and browse through our entire history! We look forward to hearing from you!
